McKenna's solar blanket tips:
- Store the solar blanket in shade and cover it with a protective sheet when not in use.
- Handle with care. Excessive pulling will cause tears. Use a mid-grip pull rope to help remove from pool if only one set of hands are available.
- Do not shock or oxidize your pool with the solar blanket on pool.
- Use the solar blanket primarily in the evening when heat is most likely to be lost due to evaporation.
- Place the solar blanket on the pool so that the bubbles are facing down in contact with the water.
- Prevent algae blooms by keeping the solar blanket free of debris (dirt, leaves, bird droppings)
- Measure your pool prior to ordering a solar blanket to ensure fit.
Solar blanket warranties cover defects in workmanship such as seam separations. They do not cover wear and tear issues related to physical or chemical damage.
